Halloween!

Halloween was a little hectic this year. Having a new baby and 3 older kids who want to go in three different directions makes it tough! Brittney didn't dress up and headed off to a concert early with a friend. Abigail and Caroline both went trick or treating with friends but I did manage to get a picture before they left. Then Delaney and I took Ella to a few neighborhood houses. She was so clueless as to what was going on. I never did get her to say "Trick or Treat", but at least she did say "Thank You"! After the few houses on our street we went to visit my grandmother, trick or treat at my parents house, stop by the store to see Oma Jean and Daddy, and then off to my sister's house for dinner. Ella helped hand out candy there. Her method was to give one and then to eat one. She had way too many suckers for anyone 2 years old and she was on a major sugar rush for several hours! Our church also had a party the week before Halloween. Ella had a blast there with her friends and she won a prize for her costume.

Delaney Kate Wagner

She was a week and a day late, but our fifth daughter, Delaney Kate made her way into the world on October 21, 2008. She weighed in at 9 lbs 8 oz and is 21 inches long. She has been a delightful baby this first week. She is really content and is a great eater and sleeper. I have even gotten a few four hour stretches at night. The older girls are adjusting to having a new baby in the house and Ella is doing pretty good with her. She was a little wary when she saw us in the hospital - completely ignoring me at first which I had not anticipated. She was much more interested in the equipment and latex gloves in the room! She did finally kiss Delaney and me goodbye before she left. She spent 5 nights with my mom and dad and visited us during the day. Today was her first whole day at home and she did great. She pretty much ignored Delaney and went about her business. We'll see how tomorrow goes! Hope you enjoy the pics of the newest Wagner.
